My crazy quilt contest entry has become top priority as the deadline looms ever closer... I'm almost done with my trees--I would be done but I ran out of the light brown color :-(Also you may have noticed that the orientation is different from last time, and yes you are right. I decided it looked better this way.
I tried desperately to finish my flowers before posting... So here they are partially done. They are a bit whimsical, which is at odds with the relatively realistic tree branches.I'm hoping it will all come together at the end. Maybe I can make the tree branches more fanciful?
And here is the whole piece view. I'm thinking about having a bird come out of the top "hole." Maybe more flowers, insects, tree roots, something out of the bottom two.
My goal is to complete enough stitching on this to justify twice weekly updates. *crosses fingers* Stay tuned!
