news: opening an etsy shop

I quit my day job and will be opening an etsy shop to explore the world of selling my own wares. I have no idea where this will take me, but it's something I want to try.

Above I'm modeling my first hat design. These winter caps will be made from recycled sweater yarn purchased from smartmonkey. I'm also going to offer hats made from garage sale/thrift store yarn, but those tend to be acrylic which isn't as nice.

I'm calling this design "surprise encounter." Right now I'm using fleece (because I already had it), but eventually I want to switch to felt made from recycled plastic bottles.
